Re: Arnie on the move?
Do you know what, i don't think Manchester United are good enough for him if he wants to win major things in the next three years.

They seem to be in panic mode to recapture the genius that was Sir Alex, he was a once in a lifetime happening.

I also think Arnie has this rich vein of form due to being top dog, i see him going the same way as it has for Sanchez there.

All opinions though.

Re: Arnie on the move?
We're basically on a hiding to nothing. If Man United have genuine interest - they will contact the players agent/ the club and that will automatically unsettle him.

We must remember the guys got zero loyalty to West Ham. He's 29, has never won anything and would probably like to test himself at the highest level. He's probably got 3 years at his peak.

I don't like it - but unfortunately that's the world we live in. If we don't bow down, he will go into massive kunt/sulk mode. Reckon we hold onto him until the summer latest.

Arnie -

"Obviously you can't do anything on this bone bruise, you can't change it, you can't do nothing, you just have to treat it good, you have to settle it down but I can handle the pain so for me, for the games I'm 100% fit."

Bruised bone NS

2-4 months to heal

"Most bone bruises slowly heal over 2 to 4 months. A larger bone bruise may take longer to heal. You may not be able to return to sports activities for weeks or months. If your symptoms don't go away, your health care provider may give you an MRI."

Re: Arnie on the move?
Shouldn’t be going in this window unless someone comes in with a staggering offer, which they won’t. West Ham don’t need 40-50 million quid but they do need a player of his ability. If we were a well run club I’d expect us to draw a line quickly and make it clear that he leaves for an exhorbitant sum or he doesn’t go.

Unfortunately though we are a club who let the Footballer of the Year go for 5 million at a time in football history when bog standard full backs were going for 30 million.

We’ve sent out a message that we can be low-balled so I expect him to be unsettled all the way to the end of the window regardless of where the club stands and how resolute they pretend to be.

Re: Arnie on the move?
We shouldn't even consider letting him go in this window, however, if we held out for £60 million in the summer that would be very hard to turn down

Re: Arnie on the move?
I don't think he'd go to a top 4/6 team, mainly because what would a team like that want him for, certainly not for regularly playing time.

That said, not playing much might suit that knee, I agree he's probably got one final good season in him after this one before the knee get's the better of him.

Re: Arnie on the move?
Good assist from Arnie for Austria's last seconds winner. Arnie looked round for McCauley I noticed to have a go I think.

Re: Arnie on the move?
Well he’s not starting for Austria today so hopefully the rest will do him good! He must have read this thread!

If he wants to go he will, just like about every other player in the world.

Re: Arnie on the move?
Dodgy knee, & should be forever grateful to Moyes for sticking him up top.

If you want to go, fuck off then.

You, like anyone else will be replaced.

Hammer and Pickle 2:37 Sun Nov 18
Re: Arnie on the move?
He's been only semi fit all season which may indicate he's looking for a last earner as he knows he's running out of time.

In that case we need to be looking for the highest bidder and a young, fit replacement (probably in France, Belgium, Holland or Spain).

neilalex 1:58 Sun Nov 18
Re: Arnie on the move?
I think it would depend on who we replaced him with. He's probably got another good season in him. He didn't give a fuck about Stoke, and i doubt he gives a fuck about us when push comes to shove. If he does go it will be because he wants to, not that the club didn't try and keep him.

If he does leave; it will confirm to me that we are an outrageously shit club.

Re: Arnie on the move?
I hear he is having a fitness test before playing against N Ireland today.
If that’s the case he shouldn’t even be thinking of playing.
Austria are 2nd in the group and can’t move up or down
